1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Chicago Love Connection LLC (“CLC,” “we,” “us”) is based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. We provide wedding and ceremony officiating, the Wedding Planning Blueprint, the Love Clarity Reading, relationship education and community through Skool, and the development of Both Things Are True™, a relationship communication card game.
This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information through chicagoloveconnection.com, our forms, our services, our community, our product research, and our communications. It applies only to Chicago Love Connection LLC and not to any other business. We also maintain chicagoloveconnection.net as an alternate domain that redirects visitors to our primary website; this policy applies to personal information we process in connection with access through either domain, as applicable.
Some of our services use external providers, such as Tally, Skool, and payment processors. Those providers also handle information under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
2. How information reaches us
Our website does not offer customer accounts, on-site checkout, or file uploads, and it does not store form submissions itself. When you request a service, you are taken to a form hosted by Tally. Community membership takes place on Skool. Email links open your own email application.
We may also receive information when you email us, are referred to us, correspond with us about a service, or participate in our community, research, or events. Some intake pathways described in this policy, such as Blueprint, game research, and product-interest forms, may be opened or updated over time; the same practices apply when they are available.
3. Sensitive and personal information you choose to share
Because our work centers on relationships, ceremonies, and family, you may choose to tell us about religious or spiritual beliefs, cultural traditions, family relationships, accessibility needs, relationship history, or other personal circumstances. We use this information only to understand your request and provide the service you ask for.
Please share only what is helpful. Do not send identity documents or complete payment-card details by email. If you share information about another person, such as a partner, family member, or wedding party member, please make sure it is appropriate to do so.
4. Information we collect for each service
Wedding and ceremony officiating
Our “Request Your Ceremony Date” form on Tally asks for your name, email address, telephone number, your role in the ceremony, your partner’s name, how you would like the couple addressed, ceremony type, preferred date and flexibility, start time, venue and location, destination or travel considerations, guest count and wedding party size, rehearsal needs, ceremony style, traditions you wish to include or exclude, family participation, relationship stories you choose to share, accessibility considerations, planning status, planner or coordinator contact details, and how you heard about us. Some questions are optional or appear only in certain situations. The form also asks for required inquiry and privacy acknowledgments and offers a separate, optional marketing choice. We use this information to review your inquiry, communicate with you, determine whether we are a good fit, coordinate logistics, and prepare and deliver a customized ceremony. Submitting an inquiry does not create a booking, and you do not need to accept marketing to request a ceremony.
Wedding Planning Blueprint
For this planning strategy service, we may collect your name and contact details, wedding date and location, planning priorities, budget information you choose to share, vendor and venue considerations, family and wedding-party logistics, scheduling preferences, and your questions and goals. We use it to understand your needs, prepare for your consultation, deliver customized planning guidance, and communicate about the service. The Blueprint is a strategy service, not full-service planning or day-of coordination.
Love Clarity Reading
Our guided Tally experience collects your name, email address, a number selection of 1, 2, or 3, and required service acknowledgments, plus the information needed to prepare and deliver your reading. Payment information is handled by the payment provider. You are invited to hold your personal question or intention privately; you are not asked or required to write it down or share it with us. We use your information to fulfill your purchase, personalize and deliver your reading as an electronic PDF, keep transaction records, and answer questions about your order.
Relationship education and community
Our community operates on Skool. Skool handles membership registration, profiles, posts, comments, course participation, member messages, and plan billing under its own terms and privacy policy. Anything you post in community spaces may be seen by other authorized members, depending on platform settings, so we cannot promise that community posts are confidential. Please use discretion before sharing sensitive relationship, financial, medical, or other private details there. We may see membership and participation information to run and moderate the community.
Both Things Are True™ couples gameplay testing
If you apply to test the game, we may collect participant names and contact details, eligibility and participation information, relationship or household context you choose to share, scheduling details, gameplay observations, structured feedback, survey responses, usability information, and your preferences about follow-up. Participants may discuss personal relationship experiences. We use this information for research, product improvement, usability and safety evaluation, and communicating with participants. Gameplay testing is product research, not therapy or counseling.
Both Things Are True™ product interest list
If you join the interest list, we may collect your name, email address, product preferences, optional marketing consent, and information about how you engage with our emails. We use it to send the product updates you asked for. Joining the interest list does not sign you up for research, and you can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.
Both Things Are True™ professional concept review
Relationship professionals who review the concept may share their name, title and credentials, practice or organization, professional setting, experience with couples, opinions, ratings, written feedback, concerns about safety, suitability, or design, possible professional uses, interest in future testing, and permission for follow-up. We use this to evaluate and improve the game and to contact reviewers about optional future opportunities. Taking part in a review does not mean a professional endorses the product.
General communications
When you email us, contact us through a website link, or correspond about a service or referral, we receive the information you include. We keep communications as reasonably necessary to respond, provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet our obligations.
5. Testimonials, photos, and recordings
We may invite customers, participants, or professionals to share testimonials, photographs, audio or video recordings, or other content. Using a service, joining the community, completing a survey, or testing the game does not give us permission to publicly use your name, image, voice, story, or testimonial. We ask for separate permission before any public promotional use, and agreeing to take part in research is different from agreeing to be featured publicly.
If you ask to withdraw permission, we will handle your request according to applicable law and the permission you gave. We may not be able to recall content that has already been distributed or published by others outside our control.
6. How we use information
Depending on your relationship with us, we use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and evaluate service requests.
- Provide, prepare, and deliver ceremonies, planning guidance, readings, and other services.
- Process purchases and keep transaction records.
- Run and support community participation.
- Conduct product research, testing, and professional review.
- Improve our services and products.
- Communicate with you about services you requested.
- Send promotional communications when you have chosen to receive them.
- Maintain business and financial records.
- Protect our website and business from fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- Comply with legal obligations and address disputes, requests, and complaints.
7. Service messages and optional marketing
Service messages relate to an inquiry, booking, reading delivery, payment, community membership, research participation, or customer support. Promotional messages share resources, community announcements, events, service information, product updates, product availability, and offers.
Submitting a service inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. When we ask for marketing permission, it is separate from required service acknowledgments and is never pre-selected. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages we need to send about a service you are using.
8. Payments
Payments for CLC services are handled by third-party payment providers, such as Stripe where it is used for a CLC transaction, and by Skool for community plans. Card details are entered with and processed by the payment provider. We do not receive or store complete card numbers or security codes. We may receive limited transaction details, such as your name, email address, amount, payment status, and a transaction reference.
Please do not send card details to us by email or in a form message.
9. Service providers and sharing
We work with providers that help us operate our business. They may process information on our behalf and under their own policies and agreements:
Tally
Customer intake forms, questionnaires, research forms, and related submissions.
Stripe
Payment processing where configured for CLC transactions.
Skool

10. Other disclosures
Not every provider listed above is connected directly to our website. We share personal information with service providers only for legitimate business purposes, such as delivering services, processing payments, and running our community.
We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of CLC, our customers, or others, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or sale of assets.
We do not use personal information for advertising targeted on other websites, and our website does not run advertising pixels.
11. Cookies and technical information
We have not added advertising pixels, marketing trackers, or third-party analytics scripts to our website. Our hosting provider loads scripts to operate the website and may collect technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, and timestamps, for website delivery, security, performance, and basic usage measurement. The website also records technical error information to help us fix problems.
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts and images from hosted image services. These requests share technical connection information, such as your IP address, with those services. We use Google Search Console to understand how our site appears in Google search; it does not place an advertising tracker on your device.
Tally, Skool, and payment providers may use their own cookies and similar technologies when you visit their pages. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how external services work.
12. How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining records, meeting legal and tax obligations, resolving disputes, and legitimate business needs. How long depends on the type of record:
- Inquiries that do not become bookings are kept for a limited period for follow-up and recordkeeping.
- Completed service records are kept to support the service, answer later questions, and maintain business records.
- Payment and financial records are kept as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.
- Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, with a record of your choice.
- Community information is kept according to your membership and Skool’s practices.
- Research, playtesting, and professional-review records are kept while they remain useful for product development.
- Customer communications are kept as needed to respond and maintain records.
- Technical and security records are kept for limited periods set by our providers.
- Some information may remain in provider systems or backups for a period after deletion, and some records must be kept by law.
13. Security
We take reasonable steps intended to protect personal information, including using established service providers and limiting access to people who need it to run the business. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information through email, forms, or community posts.
14. Your choices and requests
You can choose what information to share, decline to submit a form, change your marketing preferences, and control cookies in your browser. Some services cannot be provided without certain information. To ask about accessing, correcting, or deleting your information, update marketing preferences, withdraw a consent you gave, or ask how we handle your information, email info@chicagoloveconnection.com.
We handle requests according to applicable law. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep certain information when needed for legal or legitimate business purposes. For information held by Skool, Tally, or a payment provider, you may also contact that provider directly.
15. Age, international visitors, and policy changes
Our services, community, and relationship communication game are intended for adults. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through these services. Ceremony inquiries may mention children who will take part in a wedding, such as a flower girl or ring bearer; we use those details only to plan the ceremony. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us directly, please contact us.
CLC operates from the United States. If you use our services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or wherever our service providers operate.
We may update this policy as our services, technology, and legal obligations change. When changes are material, we will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate or required.
