Terms of Service

Wedding and ceremony officiating

We officiate weddings, commitment ceremonies, vow renewals, elopements, and other eligible ceremonies. Starting prices are $500 for November through April and $650 for May through October. Travel within 25 miles is included. Rehearsal attendance is an additional $250. Extended travel and destination arrangements may add charges. Requests made fewer than 14 days before the ceremony include a 25% rush fee, rounded to the nearest $25. Advertised prices are starting rates; your final price depends on the agreed scope.

Submitting the officiant inquiry does not reserve a date, create a booking, or guarantee availability. We normally respond within 48 to 72 hours. Your date is secured only after full payment has been received and we have confirmed the booking. Your signed service agreement sets ceremony details and scheduling. Payment, courtesy holds, cancellation, refund, and rescheduling follow the Wedding Ceremony Booking, Payment, Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy below.

You are responsible for obtaining a valid marriage license and meeting the legal requirements of the place where you marry. We cannot guarantee that a ceremony meets legal requirements in every jurisdiction.

Wedding Planning Blueprint

The Wedding Planning Blueprint costs $997 as a one-time service investment, paid in full at booking through Calendly. It includes: Comprehensive Wedding Planning Questionnaire; Advance Review and Preparation; Private 90-Minute Strategy Consultation; Customized Wedding Action Plan. The customized written Wedding Action Plan is provided following your consultation; no guaranteed delivery timeframe is promised.

The Wedding Planning Blueprint is a strategic planning and education service. It does not include full-service wedding planning, vendor management, vendor booking, day-of coordination, or execution of wedding arrangements on your behalf.

You remain responsible for implementing your plan. Recommendations do not guarantee vendor availability, pricing, performance, or event outcomes.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, No-Shows & Missed Deadlines

Payment: The Wedding Planning Blueprint costs $997, paid in full at booking. Purchases are nonrefundable except where required by applicable law or where Chicago Love Connection cannot provide the purchased service.

Advance Booking and Preparation: All appointments, including replacement and recovery appointments, must be booked at least 14 calendar days in advance.

Advance Booking and Preparation: The comprehensive Wedding Planning Blueprint questionnaire must be completed at least 72 hours before each scheduled consultation.

Complimentary Rescheduling: You receive one complimentary opportunity to reschedule using your original payment if your original appointment cannot proceed due to any of the following: a voluntary cancellation; a customer-requested rescheduling; a no-show, with or without advance notice; failure to submit the required questionnaire at least 72 hours before the consultation.

Complimentary Rescheduling: The replacement appointment must be booked within 30 calendar days of the original scheduled consultation date.

Complimentary Rescheduling: The replacement consultation may take place after the 30-day window, provided the booking occurs within that period and meets the 14-day advance-booking requirement and availability.

Paid Recovery: If the complimentary rescheduling opportunity expires unused, or the replacement appointment cannot proceed due to another occurrence of any of the following, the original payment is forfeited: a voluntary cancellation; a customer-requested rescheduling; a no-show, with or without advance notice; failure to submit the required questionnaire at least 72 hours before the consultation.

Paid Recovery: You may recover the service for an additional $297, provided you pay the recovery fee and book the recovery appointment within 60 calendar days of the original scheduled consultation date.

Paid Recovery: The recovery consultation may take place after the 60-day window if booked within the deadline, subject to the 14-day advance-booking requirement and availability.

Final Expiration: If you miss the 60-day recovery deadline, or the recovery appointment cannot proceed because of another occurrence of any of the following, recovery eligibility expires: a voluntary cancellation; a customer-requested rescheduling; a no-show, with or without advance notice; failure to submit the required questionnaire at least 72 hours before the consultation.

Final Expiration: A new Wedding Planning Blueprint purchase at the then-current full service price is required to proceed.

Chicago Love Connection-Initiated Changes: If Chicago Love Connection needs to cancel or reschedule, you may rebook at no additional charge or penalty. A CLC-initiated change does not consume your complimentary rescheduling opportunity or trigger the $297 recovery fee.

Chicago Love Connection-Initiated Changes: If Chicago Love Connection cannot provide the purchased service, an appropriate refund will be offered.

Scheduling Clarification: The 30-day and 60-day deadlines govern when you must book the replacement or recovery appointment, not when the consultation must take place.

Scheduling Clarification: Customers remain responsible for meeting booking deadlines, the 14-day advance-booking requirement, and appointment availability.

Scheduling Clarification: Chicago Love Connection manually controls cancellations where action by the business is required.

These policies do not override applicable consumer-protection law or prevent customers from exercising lawful dispute or chargeback rights.

Love Clarity Reading

The Love Clarity Reading is a personalized three-card reflective tarot reading for $129. You complete a guided intake and payment, and we deliver a personalized PDF by email within 72 hours after successful payment and completed intake. No live consultation is included.

Please provide a valid email address. If your reading has not arrived within 72 hours, check your spam folder and then email us so we can resend it.

The reading is for personal reflection and self-awareness. It does not predict or guarantee future events or relationship outcomes, and it is not a substitute for mental health, medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for your own decisions.

Chicago Love Connection Community

1. Invoice Validity & Payment Requirements

All wedding ceremony invoices are valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issuance, unless a different expiration date is expressly stated on the invoice.

Full payment is required to officially reserve and confirm a wedding ceremony date.

Clients may pay using any eligible payment method offered through Chicago Love Connection’s secure payment processor, Stripe, including available installment financing options, subject to the payment provider’s eligibility requirements and terms.

Any financing arrangement between the client and a third-party payment provider is separate from Chicago Love Connection’s booking agreement and does not alter the cancellation, refund, or rescheduling provisions outlined in this policy.

Invoices must be paid in full before their stated expiration date. Once an invoice expires, availability and pricing are subject to reconfirmation, and a new invoice may be required.

2. Courtesy Holds & First Right of Refusal

Upon issuance of an invoice, Chicago Love Connection will tentatively hold the requested wedding ceremony date for up to 30 calendar days as a courtesy.

A courtesy hold is not a confirmed reservation. The ceremony date becomes officially reserved only after full payment has been received and Chicago Love Connection has confirmed the booking.

If another couple requests the same ceremony date during an active courtesy hold, the couple holding the existing invoice will receive first right of refusal.

The original couple will have 72 hours from the time Chicago Love Connection sends notification of the competing inquiry, or until the expiration of their original invoice, whichever occurs first, to complete payment and secure the date.

If payment is not received by that deadline, the courtesy hold may be released and the date offered to the other couple.

If no competing booking request arises, the original couple may complete payment at any time during the invoice’s 30-day validity period.

Courtesy holds automatically expire when the applicable invoice expires unless Chicago Love Connection expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

3. Nonrefundable Reservation Fee

Fifty percent (50%) of the total wedding ceremony fee is designated as a nonrefundable reservation fee.

This portion of the payment compensates Chicago Love Connection for reserving the ceremony date, allocating availability, and declining potentially conflicting bookings.

Although the entire ceremony fee is collected at booking, 50% is designated as the nonrefundable reservation portion.

The remaining 50% is refundable only under the qualifying cancellation circumstances outlined below.

These provisions do not limit any refund rights required by applicable law or the provider cancellation and nonperformance provisions of this policy.

4. Client-Initiated Cancellation & Refund Eligibility

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Chicago Love Connection.

Cancellation More Than 60 Days Before the Ceremony

If a client cancels more than 60 calendar days before the scheduled ceremony date:

• Fifty percent (50%) of the total ceremony fee remains nonrefundable.
• The remaining fifty percent (50%) is eligible for a refund.

Cancellation 60 Days or Fewer Before the Ceremony

If a client cancels 60 calendar days or fewer before the scheduled ceremony date:

• The entire ceremony fee becomes nonrefundable.
• No refund will be issued, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Refund eligibility is determined by the scheduled ceremony date and the date Chicago Love Connection receives the client’s written cancellation request.

Failure to attend or proceed with a scheduled ceremony without an approved cancellation or rescheduling arrangement does not create an entitlement to a refund, subject to applicable law.

5. Refund Requests & Processing

All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing to Chicago Love Connection.

Eligible refunds will be initiated within 30 calendar days after receipt of the written cancellation request, or sooner if required by applicable law.

For provider-initiated cancellations or nonperformance, the refund-processing period begins when Chicago Love Connection provides written confirmation that a refund is due.

Refunds will ordinarily be issued to the original payment method.

The time required for refunded funds to appear in the client’s account may vary depending on the payment processor, financial institution, or financing provider.

For payments made through third-party installment financing, any adjustments to the client’s financing agreement, payment schedule, or outstanding obligations are subject to the applicable provider’s terms.

Nothing in this policy limits or overrides consumer rights or refund requirements established by applicable law.

6. Client-Initiated Rescheduling

Chicago Love Connection permits one (1) complimentary reschedule of a confirmed wedding ceremony booking, subject to officiant availability.

To qualify for complimentary rescheduling:

• The client must submit the rescheduling request in writing.
• The requested new ceremony date must fall within 90 calendar days after the original scheduled ceremony date.
• Chicago Love Connection must be available to officiate on the requested new date.
• The new ceremony date must be approved and confirmed in writing by Chicago Love Connection.

When these conditions are met, the client’s existing ceremony payment will be applied to the rescheduled ceremony without an additional rescheduling fee.

Rescheduling Beyond 90 Days

If the requested new ceremony date falls more than 90 calendar days after the original scheduled ceremony date, a new booking fee will be required.

The original nonrefundable reservation portion remains nonrefundable.

Any additional fees or updated pricing will be disclosed before the client confirms the new booking.

Additional Rescheduling Requests

Only one complimentary reschedule is included with the original booking.

Subsequent rescheduling requests are subject to approval, officiant availability, and any applicable additional fees disclosed before the change is confirmed.

A rescheduling request does not automatically change the existing reservation. The original ceremony date remains in effect until a replacement date has been approved and confirmed in writing.

7. Officiant Unavailability for Client-Requested Rescheduling

Complimentary rescheduling is subject to Chicago Love Connection’s availability and does not guarantee availability for any particular replacement date.

If Chicago Love Connection is unavailable for the client’s requested new ceremony date, the client may:

1. Select another available ceremony date within 90 calendar days after the original ceremony date, without an additional rescheduling fee.
2. Request a date beyond the 90-day window, subject to availability and applicable new booking fees.
3. Cancel the booking under the existing cancellation and refund policy.

If the client elects to cancel, refund eligibility will be determined by the date Chicago Love Connection receives the written cancellation request and the original scheduled ceremony date.

Officiant unavailability for a client-requested replacement date does not independently entitle the client to a refund beyond the applicable cancellation policy.

As a courtesy, Chicago Love Connection may provide referrals to other qualified wedding officiants.

Referrals do not constitute a transfer of the original booking. Any services, fees, or agreements involving a referred officiant are arranged separately between the client and the referred provider.

A client-initiated rescheduling request does not suspend or extend the original cancellation and refund deadlines unless Chicago Love Connection approves and confirms a new ceremony date in writing.

8. Provider Unavailability, Replacement Officiants & Nonperformance

Chicago Love Connection is committed to fulfilling all confirmed wedding ceremony bookings.

If the originally assigned officiant becomes unable to perform the ceremony on the confirmed date, Chicago Love Connection will notify the client as promptly as reasonably possible and make every reasonable effort to secure a qualified replacement officiant.

Replacement Officiant Qualifications

Any proposed replacement officiant must:

• Be legally authorized to solemnize marriages in the jurisdiction where the ceremony will take place.
• Be available on the confirmed ceremony date and at the agreed-upon time and location.
• Be capable of delivering the personalized ceremony as planned, including the agreed-upon vows, readings, rituals, and other meaningful elements.
• Be reasonably acceptable to the couple.

Replacement Officiant Arrangements

If a suitable replacement officiant is identified and accepted by the couple, Chicago Love Connection will coordinate the transfer of all necessary ceremony details and materials to support a seamless transition.

No additional officiant fees will be charged to the client for a replacement arranged by Chicago Love Connection.

Chicago Love Connection will remain responsible for coordinating the agreed-upon officiant services under the original booking.

When a Suitable Replacement Cannot Be Secured

If Chicago Love Connection is unable to secure a qualified and reasonably acceptable replacement officiant who can fulfill the agreed-upon ceremony services, the client will be entitled to a full refund of 100% of all ceremony fees paid to Chicago Love Connection for the affected booking, including the ordinarily nonrefundable reservation portion.

The refund will be initiated within 30 calendar days after confirmation that Chicago Love Connection cannot fulfill its contractual obligations, or sooner if required by applicable law.

Optional Rescheduling

If both parties prefer to reschedule rather than arrange a replacement officiant, Chicago Love Connection may accommodate a mutually agreed-upon date within 90 calendar days after the original ceremony date, subject to availability.

No additional booking or rescheduling fee will apply to a provider-initiated date change, and the change will not count against the client’s one complimentary client-initiated reschedule.

Client Protections

The client will not be required to pay additional officiant fees because the originally assigned officiant is unavailable.

If Chicago Love Connection cannot fulfill the contracted ceremony services through the originally assigned officiant, an accepted replacement, or a mutually agreed-upon reschedule, the client will receive the full refund described above.

Nothing in this section limits any additional rights or remedies available under applicable law.

9. Booking Confirmation & Acceptance of Terms

Submitting an inquiry, completing a questionnaire, participating in a consultation, receiving an invoice, or receiving a courtesy hold does not constitute a confirmed booking.

A wedding ceremony date is officially reserved only when full payment has been received and Chicago Love Connection has confirmed the booking.

By completing payment after receiving or being provided access to these terms, the client acknowledges and agrees to the disclosed payment, cancellation, refund, and rescheduling policies, subject to applicable law.

Chicago Love Connection reserves the right to decline an unconfirmed booking when the requested ceremony date is no longer available, consistent with the courtesy hold and first right of refusal provisions above.

All exceptions or modifications to these policies must be agreed upon in writing by Chicago Love Connection.

10. Applicable Law & Consumer Protections

These policies are intended to operate in accordance with applicable Illinois law and consumer protection requirements.

If any provision conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, that legal requirement will control.

Nothing in these policies waives or restricts any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted.

Ceremony appointments

Wedding ceremony payment, courtesy holds, cancellation, refund, and rescheduling terms are set out in the Wedding Ceremony Booking, Payment, Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy above, together with your signed service agreement.

Wedding Planning Blueprint

The finalized payment, refund, manual cancellation, complimentary replacement, and paid recovery policies appear in the Wedding Planning Blueprint subsection of Section 2 above.

Love Clarity Reading

Purchases are final once paid. If we are unable to deliver your reading, or where the law otherwise requires a refund, we will provide one.

Community memberships

Monthly and annual Premium memberships, including cancellation, renewal, and refunds, are managed under Skool’s billing settings and terms. You can manage your membership in your Skool account.

Research participation and future products

Research participation is unpaid unless separately agreed, and you may stop at any time. Terms for any future physical product will be provided at the time of sale.
